WHO: Habitat for Humanity of East King County has been awarded a Thrivent Builds Homes project for two new Habitat Homes in 2008!
WHAT: Thrivent Financial will sponsor the construction and engage volunteers to build these two Habitat EKC homes. 65% of the funding for each Thrivent Builds home will be provided by Thrivent Financial with 35% of the remaining funding coming from the fundraising efforts of local Thrivent chapters and Habitat for Humanity EKC.
HOW: Thrivent Builds presents the Annual Golf Tournament and Auction benefiting Habitat for Humanity of EKC. This event will bring together local Thrivent chapters, Lutheran congregations, and Habitat EKC supporters to raise the money needed to fulfill the 35% contribution to complete these two new Habitat homes in 2008.

Thrivent Builds volunteers have built more than 650 homes across the USA for families in need of simple, decent, affordable housing. These two new Thrivent Builds homes will be the 4th and 5th houses that Habitat for Humanity of EKC has built through the Thrivent Builds Homes project.
Thrivent Builds with Habitat for Humanity is a financial, volunteer, and advocacy alliance formed between Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and Habitat for Humanity International. The four-year, $125-million alliance includes several programs under the Thrivent Builds umbrella including the Thrivent Builds Homes project. |
