One Day Women Build With Habitat For Humanity of East King County!

One-Day Women Build, May 10!

What: Most people celebrate Mother’s Day with brunch and flowers, but at Habitat for Humanity we celebrate with hammers and nails. Habitat for Humanity East King County is one of over 150 affiliates in all 50 states participating in Lowe’s National Women Build Week, the week leading up to Mother’s day. Women Build is designed not to exclude men, but to include women, giving them the opportunity of explore, learn and use their construction skills. Volunteers along with Habitat EKC homeowners will pound nails, frame walls, and build community.

We will honor mothers by posting photos, and accepting donations in honor of Mother’s Day.

Who: Habitat for Humanity of East King County will partner with The Master Builders Association, The Construction Center of Excellence, and the Puget Sound Chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction and Lowe’s as well as Habitat homeowners and community members.

Where: Koinonia Ridge (see driving directions: http://habitatekc.org/construction/directions.html)

When: The Build will take place on May 10th. All volunteers are required to attend a training session from 10:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. on either April 19th or May 3rd.

How: Contact Allyson Goldstein at scheduleco@habitatekc.org or 425-869-6007 if you are interested in participating, or visit http://habitatekc.org/donate/index.html to make a donation in honor of your Mother this Mother’s Day.
