Patterson Park C Home Dedications

REDMOND – January 8, 2008
Habitat for Humanity of East King County will celebrate the completion of six homes in its Patterson Park development, located at 18280 NE 98th Place, during a dedication ceremony at 2 p.m., Jan. 27, 2008.

For over a year, volunteers, AmeriCorps members, Habitat for Humanity staff and dedicated homebuyer families have been working diligently to complete the third phase of a four-phase home development in Redmond. The dedication ceremony will include blessings of the homes, handing of the keys to homeowners and speeches from Habitat volunteers, advocates and sponsors. The dedication ceremony will conclude with a cultural potluck.

Habitat for Humanity of East King County, a non-profit, Christian organization, builds simple, decent, affordable homes for qualified families living or working on the Eastside. The homes are then sold to homebuyers making less than 50 percent of the area’s median income on no-interest loans. Homebuyers contribute 500 sweat equity hours toward the construction of their home and the homes of their neighbors.

Families interested in Habitat for Humanity’s homeownership program should attend an informational meeting. Meeting locations and times may be found at www.habitatekc.org.
